The oil tanker Prio successfully bid for 500 thousand barrels of oil from the Union of the Atapu field in the Santos Basin pre-salt region, marking PPSA’s first win in competitive auctions.
The cargo gathered will be loaded in the latter part of November, as stated by PPSA on Friday (15). PPSA is in charge of representing the Union in pre-salt production contracts and is responsible for selling the Union’s oil.
Price bids were revealed instantly during a meeting attended by representatives from Galp, Petrochina, Petronas, TotalEnergies, Petrobras, and Prio.
New fees for oil changes
PPSA organized its second commercialization event in 2025.
PPSA traded two oil cargoes from the Itapu Field Union in March, each with an estimated volume of 500 thousand barrels.
In June, the company conducted the 5th Union Petroleum Auction, where 74.5 million barrels were sold at B3.
